St Petersburg University launches a joint academic programme in partnership with the Alexandrinsky Theatre
The master’s programme "Economics and Management in Art" is designed to train high-calibre managers capable of conducting economic, research and project activities in the sphere of culture and arts. The programme is developed and implemented in partnership with the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "National Drama Theatre of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theatre)".
The programme is unique in that it provides an interdisciplinary approach to developing skills in the most important areas of managing arts organisations. Students will study the following disciplines: Modern Art: Concepts, History, Typology; Management in Culture and Arts; Developing the Creative Industries in a Changing Economic Environment; Marketing and Customer Experience Management; Project and Project and Product Management in the Arts; Cultural Policy and Cultural Diplomacy; Innovations and Creative Thinking; Theatre and Theatricality in Russian Art of the 18th — Early 20th Centuries; and International Promotion of the Project in the Arts.
Graduates of St Petersburg University will be able to build a career as: the head of a cultural institution; art director; artistic director; technical director; production manager; and stage manager of commercial and non-commercial organisations.
