Student team of St Petersburg University is the winner of the competition on land law and town planning legislation
Students of St Petersburg University emerged victorious at the competition on land law and town planning legislation named after Oleg Krassov, which was held at Moscow State University (MSU). St Petersburg University was represented by Anastasiia Prokofeva, Daria Zaushitsina, and Aleksei Glotov.
A total of 43 student teams from 19 different Russian cities participated in the MSU Open Urban Law Cup, vying for the top spot.

During the initial stage, the participants were required to analyse the potential for implementing integrated territorial development mechanisms. In the subsequent face-to-face stage, finalists presented solutions to the issue of imposing fees for changes in permitted land use.
"The tasks in both rounds of the competition were engaging and multifaceted. While the qualifying stage task may have appeared more extensive, due to the substantial time requirement, the final stage task was interdisciplinary in nature. It called for knowledge not only of land law and town planning law but also of civil, constitutional, and even tax law. Preparation for the competition was a continuous effort throughout our academic journey, from the first year of our bachelor’s programme at St Petersburg University, supported by numerous highly qualified instructors," noted Aleksei Glotov, a student enrolled in the master’s programme "Real-estate Lawyer".
