"Russian Education" Federal Portal: SPbU Online School: Russian education available from any country in the world

In 2023, St Petersburg State University, with the support of the Government Office and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, launched an educational project for Russian-speaking students from all over the world: "SPbU Online School". The project aroused great interest among foreign students and their parents. Some 300 applications were received from 44 countries from children wishing to study according to Russian educational standards.

How do I become a student at SPbU Online School? What entrance tests will I have to take and who will assess them? Is the SPbU Online School curriculum sufficient to provide a well-rounded education? How is the learning process organised and how do students communicate with each other? What kind of certificate will I receive at the end of the course?

These and other questions are answered by SPbU experts in the new episode of the Educational Environment online programme, which you can watch by clicking here.

Programme experts:

  • Alexander Babich, Senior Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Admissions at SPbU
  • Ekaterina Zaugolnikova, Advisor to the Senior Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Admissions at SPbU
