The SPbU Palaeontological Museum offers weekly guided tours where you will explore the evolution of the animal kingdom, from ancient bacteria, estimated to be around three billion years old, to the contemporaries of early humans — woolly mammoths and rhinoceroses. The exhibition showcases a rich collection of invertebrate remains, including those from the Leningrad region, various ancient shark teeth, Permian reptiles, dinosaurs, and dolphin-like ichthyosaurs: a total of approximately 3,000 diverse fossils of plants, bacteria, and animals.
