St Petersburg University to train in-demand translators/interpreters for the media business
The new multidisciplinary master’s programme "Foreign Languages and Translation in the Media" is designed to train linguists and translators/interpreters, media specialists in international relations, and teachers and specialists in the field of additional professional training.

The programme is unique in that it provides interdisciplinary education focused on training high-calibre personnel in the field of interpreting and translation, journalism and PR-communication, and teaching media disciplines in Russian and foreign languages. The programme is mainly taught in English, using information and communication technologies and distance learning. Additionally, master’s students will have an opportunity to study Spanish and Chinese.
Upon graduation, the students will be awarded additional qualifications to the degree diploma: "Teacher of Additional Education"; "Translator/Interpreter in the Field of Professional and Intercultural Communication"; and "Foreign Language Teacher".
Graduates of St Petersburg University will be able to build a career in various fields such as journalism, PR, marketing, tourism, education, translation/interpreting, and teaching.
